The exclusive and private farm gardens boast 8200 square meters - akin to a private Kirstenbosch with conservation activities. Rustic, yet luxurious in design and catering for all your needs, this garden style luxury cottage is the ultimate Cape rural luxury living experience. A separate, self catering 70 square meter luxury chalet below our farm dam is also available for rental. It is completely screened off from the main guesthouse and about 50 meters away from it. The chalet is a one bedroom double story unit for 2 adult people (a steep staircase rules out children), complete with an outdoor and indoor bathroom, a well equipped modern farm style kitchen, a sunset deck, Fibre optic internet, a small home office, wood fired hot tub, a wood fired heating burner and a beautiful setting in between the trees . The chalet can be rented by one larger group as part of the main guesthouse, or it can be rented separately, but in the latter case without access to the gardens. The main guesthouse house features only the highest quality finishes and everything is custom designed and built, mainly from oak and other hardwoods and natural stone. A well equipped modern farm kitchen caters for all your needs. Lots of stone work can be found outside and inside the guest house and creates a contrast to the other natural elements and colors. Two outdoor showers add unique experiences under the African skies. A well equipped library features a wide range of literature for every taste and includes natural literature on the biodiversity of the gardens and the Capes natural surroundings. Both bedrooms are en suite and equipped with fireplaces. A large fireplace features as a focal point in the living room.
Our new state of the art sauna with intense sunset, garden, mountain and even sea views is exceptional.
A large sunset deck offers ocean, garden and mountain views and caters for any occasion from an abundant breakfast to a wine from our neighboring farm Cape Point Vineyards.
Meditation areas and Zimbabwean sculptures can be found around the gardens with water features surrounding them.
We grow our own organic olives and vegetables, make our own 'Cape Fynbos' style honey from our bee hives, all for our guests well being and enjoyment. Activities are strictly organic and no pesticides or herbicides are used at all. Compost is organically made from neighboring farms and organic materials from the gardens and houses.
The farm garden features an enormous biodiversity of indigenous Protea (rare Protea and Succulents are cultivated in our greenhouse), flowers, forests, grasses, rock gardens, picnic lawn areas as well as large olive orchards and lots of beautiful Mediterranean planting. Hundreds of herbs are grown for harvest and use the kitchen. We practice dedicated conservation efforts of plant species which are threatened by extinction in the wild.
A myriad of wild life can be found in the gardens and our dam. Our conservation efforts ensure this as well as an abundance of birds.
Everything is completely private. Onsite parking is available.
World class restaurants, a coffee roaster, a farm market, a deli with a bakery and shops are within 5 minutes walking distance down the beautiful Village lane and the famous Noordhoek Longbeach is a mere 5 minute drive away. We are also located a mere minute’s drive away from the Cape Point Vineyards Winery.
